Anxiety Counselling
When your mind won’t slow down.
Sometimes the hardest part isn't what's happening around you, but everything that's happening in your mind.
Understanding Anxiety
Anxiety can show up in so many ways. You might find yourself overthinking conversations, worrying about things that haven't happened yet, or feeling constantly on edge. Sometimes there isn't even a clear reason for how you're feeling. You just know it's exhausting.
As an integrative counsellor, I recognise that anxiety doesn't look or feel the same for everyone. Through online anxiety counselling, I offer a confidential, non-judgemental space where we can explore what's happening for you, begin to recognise patterns and make sense of your experiences together.
There's no pressure to have all the answers or make your worries disappear. You don't need to prepare anything or know exactly what you want to say. We'll work at your pace, finding what feels helpful for you.
Something you could try
A moment to ground yourself
When your thoughts feel overwhelming, it can sometimes help to bring your attention back to what's happening around you.
One technique you might like to try is called
5–4–3–2–1.
Take a moment to notice:
5 things you can see
4 things you can feel
3 things you can hear
2 things you can smell
1 thing you can taste
There's no right way to feel afterwards. You might notice a difference, or you might not. Either is okay.
It's simply an invitation to reconnect with the present moment
